As your local Neighbourhood Acquisitive Crime Team, we wanted to update you that on Monday 22nd December 2025 at 19:28 hours, an attempted burglary occurred at a property on Leyland Street, Derby.

The offender could be heard to try the door handle several times in attempt to gain entry.

We are aware of several recent attempted burglaries in the area, so please remain extra vigilant and take the following precautions:

Ensure all doors and windows are securely locked, even when you are at home.

Report any suspicious activity immediately by calling 101, or 999 in an emergency.

Consider additional security measures such as alarms, CCTV, or motion-sensor lighting.

Your awareness and quick action can help keep our community safe.
