Keeping Derbyshire Dales Safe This Winter
The Derbyshire Dales is a beautiful area with some of the lowest levels of crime and anti-social behaviour in the county. However, as winter approaches, we remain vigilant. My officers will be working hard to tackle seasonal issues such as: Alcohol-related anti-social behaviour and violence
Protect Your Property If you’ve stored away items like lawn mowers or bicycles for the winter, make sure they’re secure. If you receive expensive gifts this season, avoid leaving empty boxes outside your home, as this can attract thieves. When travelling, keep valuables out of sight and always lock your car. Even small items, like a coat on a seat, can tempt opportunistic thieves.
Stay Safe on the Roads Drink driving causes fatalities, serious injuries, and life-changing consequences. There is no safe amount of alcohol if you’re driving. Our advice is simple:
Stay Connected Throughout the year, I’ll continue to provide updates and crime prevention advice to help keep our community safe. I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and New Year.
Thank you for your support. Together, we can keep the Derbyshire Dales a safe place to live, work and visit.
