✏️ School Inputs with PCSO Hunt...

Hello All

Today PCSO Hunt, popped to Matlock Bath Holy Trinity School to speak to the students about - "Is Everyone a Friend?" aka Stranger Danger.

We discussed...
✏️ What makes a good friend?
✏️ Where to find support, if something doesn't feel right or you are being bullied - such as Childline, Police and Trusted Adults.
✏️ Playing and staying safe outside - finding a safe place such as a church or shop or even a trusted adult if they feel they are in danger.

and not forgetting

✏️ Staying safe while playing online...
Our children are being brought up in a digitally fast passed world, where as they get older the more curious they get about being online, especially with popular games such as Minecraft and Roblox.

There are benefits to online gaming…
✏️ Developing problem solving and new skills
✏️ Fun
✏️ Enhances memory and concentration
✏️ Team work

However, there are also downsides to online gaming...
✏️ It can become addicting.
✏️ Bullying - online and in person.
✏️ Being left out by friends.
✏️ Not everyone online is who they say they are.
