Yellow Met Office Warning for snow |

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow across the East Midlands between 18:00 hours on Thursday 8 January 2026, and 12:00 hours on Friday 9 January 2026.
Storm GORETTI is likely to bring snow leading to disruption and difficult travelling conditions. Strong winds may lead to some drifting of snow. Rain and snow will then clear eastwards during Friday.
What to expect:
Power cuts may occur and other services such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected.
