✏️ School Edition - It's Ok to Say... |
||
|
Hello All
Yesterday saw PCSO Hunt visit, Middleton C of E Primary School to deliver the input - It's Ok to Say.
This input is all about knowing the difference between a secret and a surprise, good and bad touches and watching the rather catchy video "Pantosaurus". Which then, the Falcon's class designed posters about what they learnt about the input and to display for other classes to learn from too.
Even though this input was delivered in Middleton by Wirksworth, it is always good to share the key message form the input to the wider Derbyshire Dales community - as it applies to all children and adults in everyday life.
🦖 Surprises have endings, where secrets do not. 🦖 If you think you are being asked to keep a secret, rather than a happy surprise, you should tell a trusted adult straight away. 🦖 Touch can be good or bad - you should never be asked to keep secrets about touch. 🦖 PANTS - Privates are private - Always remember your body belongs to you - NO means NO - Talk about secrets that upset you - Speak up, someone can help. 🦖 How to tell a trusted adult - drawing, writing a letter, plan/practise what you want to say.
If you need to speak to anyone for support around this then speak to us (Police), trusted adult or the NSPCC - you do not have to be alone - It's Ok to say.

Thanks, PCSO Kirsty Hunt
