While officers were on speed checks today, ANPR in a patrol vehicle identified a vehicle reported as stolen.

✅ The vehicle has now been recovered and enquiries are ongoing.

Officers are unable to stop or check every vehicle, which is why ANPR and in‑car technology are a key part of proactive patrols. These systems allow officers to identify vehicles of interest in real time, supporting crime prevention and effective use of patrol resources while remaining visible on the road.
