The Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood policing team ran an operation on Wilsthorpe Road yesterday, targeting drivers committing traffic offences. We are pleased to let you know that 21 tickets were given to drivers, 19 of those for being on their mobile phones whilst driving, these will be processed through the courts. 35 drivers were stopped and 2 vehicles were seized.
This operation was set up in line with one of our new quarterly priorities; partnership work supporting road safety.
