As part of our Road Safety priority, the Safer Neighbourhood Team have been speaking with our colleagues in Roads Policing Unit, with regards to speeding concerns in communities, you have highlighted while engaging with us through surveys, community meeting and at events.
With that in mind, officers from Road Policing Unit conducted speed checks on Saturday 31st January on Main Road in Grindleford during the morning and after dinner time on Baslow Road in Bakewell. From these checks, it resulted in 3 tickets being issued in Grindleford and 2 in Bakewell.
These priorities were decided on after they were overwhelmingly voted for by our local community in the Derbyshire Talking surveys and in direct communication with the team at our Street Meet events.
