Positive engagements in the town centre |
||
|
Yesterday evening we were in Starbucks holding our community catch up where we gave out some free reflective items to youngsters riding their scooters. #BeBrightBeSeen We were also around the town centre, talking to businesses and members of the public regarding any concerns they have. Some of the issues brought up were anti-social behaviour from young people, inconsiderate parking and there were also concerns raised on Oxford Street regarding the pedestrianised area. We appreciate the bollards are broken, however we would like to remind you that the signage is clearly displayed to inform drivers and members of the public that vehicles should not enter the area between the hours of 10am â 4pm Monday to Saturday. Oxford Street, Ripley is a Public Highway and controlled by Derbyshire County Council. We were in the town centre later on and engaged positively with the younger people and advised on correct behaviour đ
