Its that time of year that you may not venture out in your garden in a while however its really important you keep checking on your sheds and outbuildings. Please report any break ins or damage to the Police as soon as possible either on 101 or via our website. This is vital as we can do house to house and CCTV enquiries in the area. This will help narrow down the time frame by checking on your sheds and outbuildings regularly.
- If you leave items of any high value in your shed, engrave or mark these items with your house number and postcode so they can be returned back to you. - Fit a good quality, substantial lock to the door. - Secure hinges with coach bolts and security screws. - Invest in a shed alarm if possible or window alarm. - Screw windows shut or fit window locks. Use curtains or netting to hide anything on view. - Consider installing CCTV to view your garden.
Keep an eye out on our social media pages for upcoming tool marking events that will be later on in the month and in March. This will be an opportunity to bring down any tools to be marked by the Police for free.
