School parking patrols - Duffield

This morning, the Safer Neighbourhood Team conducted school parking patrols at William Gilbert Primary School.

A number of parking concerns were identified, including vehicles stopping on double yellow lines and drivers failing to comply with the Highway Code - Such behaviour presents avoidable risks to children, parents, and other road users during busy drop‑off periods.

Where offences were observed, officers have recorded vehicle details and appropriate action will be taken. This may include advisory notices, formal warnings, or the issuing of Fixed Penalty Notices where necessary. Repeat offenders may also be referred for further enforcement.

We will continue to carry out regular patrols in the area to encourage safe, considerate, and lawful parking. Our priority remains the safety of the school community.
