Today we have visited Ripley Junior School who allowed us in for a tour of the school and to meet the classes individually.
We were able to meet with staff and the children and answer any questions they had about what we do in our jobs and why we like to come into schools. ❓So why do we go into schools?

👉🏼Breaking down barriers - policing isn't just sirens and uniforms, it's people!
👉🏼Listening to young voices - their thoughts, concerns and ideas matter.
👉🏼Educating in a fun way - safety, choices and consequences made relatable.
👉🏼Inspiring the future - maybe tomorrow's officers were already in the room? 👀👮🏼♂️👮🏼♀️
👉🏼Being visible - so children know who to turn to when they need support.
👉🏼Creating positive experiences - because first impressions count!
