Appeal for information launched following fight in Shirebrook street

We are appealing for information following a fight involving multiple men in Shirebrook.

A van reportedly pulled up in Langwith Road and a number of men got out and were involved in an altercation with another group of men in the street.

The incident happened at about 10am this morning (Saturday 21 March) on the stretch of road between the junctions of Eland Road and Ridgeway.

Officers attended the scene and three men, aged 26, 33 and 36, have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody.

There were no reported injuries.

We understand incidents of this nature may cause concern in the community but we would like to reassure residents that high-visibility patrols have been stepped up in the area.

Officers have also been making extensive enquiries and members of the public may see an increased police presence in the area whilst our work continues.

We are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information about what happened to please come forward and get in touch with us.

Of particular interest is anyone who may have CCTV, Ring doorbell, mobile phone or dash cam footage of the incident, and has not yet already spoken to officers.
