BOGUS DOORSTEP SELLERS IN THE AREA

Hi folks,

Welcome everyone who are users of Derbyshire Alert, and hello to the new users.

Warning to residents, especially the vulnerable.

This afternnon/early evening we have received reports of two adult males going door-to-door offering cheap household items for sale, Lullington Road, Overseal area.

Please be aware 

*** Anyone selling goods door-to-door ( pedlars) MUST carry a valid Pedlar's Certificate.

*** They should be willing to show this certificate on request.

ADVICE

***  Do not feel pressured into buying anything on your doorstep.

*** Always ask to see ID and a Pedlars certificate

***  If they cannot provide one, do not engage and report the incident.

***  Keep doors locked and use a door chain.if you have one

***  Look out for elderly or vulnerable neighbours and share this information with them.
