NEW NEIGHBOURHOOD PRIORITIES

Good afternoon,

Welcome to our new users of this Derbyshire Alert messaging service.

We have recently just set the new neighbourhood priorities which we will be working with partners to reduce/resolve, priorities which are set by looking at crime data, community feedback from our Community voice surveys which as residents what issues matter to them in their area, feedback from partners and also at community events. For each priority the actions we will take are:-

Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB):

Conduct high‑visibility patrols.

Work with the Youth Engagement Team to prevent offending and tackle ASB at source.

Work with partners to tackle anti‑social behaviour.

Engage with young people through school engagements, raising awareness of anti‑social behaviour.

Gather feedback from and work with the local community.

Serious Acquisitive Crime:

Continue high‑visibility and plain‑clothes patrols in hotspot areas.

Share crime‑prevention advice through social media, community events and Derbyshire Alert.

Promote security measures such as tool‑marking, steering locks and CCTV.

Work with partners including local authorities, bordering police forces and national policing teams.

Alongside PC Whitney Holmes-Small and myself, PCSO Andrea Thompson, PC Katie Henderson has joined the team as SNT officer for this area.
