It’s easy to forget that thieves can quickly target an open window or door and be in and out of your property before you realise. 🚪🪟

Make sure you deny thieves any easy opportunities:

🔹 If you’re out in the back garden 🌳, close any windows at the front of the house and lock the front door 🔒 — you may not hear someone entering from the front.
🔹 Keep valuables 💍📱 safe and hidden, and store keys in a secure place out of sight.
🔹 If you leave the house for any reason, make sure all doors and windows are closed and locked properly ✅
🔹 Keep your garden secure 🏡 and fit a garden gate lock to stop thieves snooping around unseen at the rear.
🔹 Keep tools and ladders 🔧🪜 locked away and make sure sheds are secure.
🔹 Simple landscaping, such as gravel paths or thorny shrubs 🌿, can also act as a deterrent.

🚗 And don’t forget your vehicle in warm weather — don’t leave windows open or valuables on display.
