Suspicious Activity |

|
Officers recently received intelligence suggesting that a house had been taken over and was being used for the supply of illegal drugs. Reports indicated suspected criminal activity linked to the exploitation of the resident, often referred to as ‘cuckooing’, where vulnerable individuals are targeted and their homes used for illicit purposes. Officers acted quickly and attended the address. Upon arrival, they gained entry and detained a man who is believed to have taken control of the address. During a thorough search of the premises, officers discovered a further wanted woman at the address. She was quickly arrested. Searches of the property continued, resulting in the discovery of Class A drugs, along with a significant quantity of cash believed to be linked to the supply of controlled substances. A man has been released on police bail with conditions as enquiries continue. Investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the activity at the address. We remain committed to tackling drug-related harm and protecting vulnerable members of our community from exploitation. Information from the public plays a vital role in helping us take action. If you have any concerns about suspected drug activity or exploitation on your area, please report it to us or, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously.
