Crime prevention advice issued following suspected burglaries in Derby |
||
|
We are encouraging residents to please follow our crime prevention advice following a series of suspected burglaries in Derby. Two incidents have been reported to us in which residents living in houses of multiple occupation (HMO) have had items stolen. As a result we are encouraging people who live in shared housing and who have locks to their rooms to make sure they are secure when not in use. We would also like to remind people living in HMOs/shared properties to ensure the main door to the property is shut and locked when not in use. Residents are also asked to ensure windows are closed and secured when they are not using them. Further crime prevention advice can be read via the following links:- Keep burglars out of your property | Derbyshire Constabulary Protecting your home from crime | Crime prevention | Derbyshire Constabulary Crimes can be reported to us using the methods below:- You can also anonymously contact the independent charity CrimeStoppers, on 0800 555 111, or by visiting the CrimeStoppers website: https://crimestoppers-uk.org/ For emergencies, please call 999. | ||
