Burglary Alert

As your local Neighbourhood Acquisitive Crime Team, we wanted to update you that on Saturday 6th June between 15:50 and 16:00 hours, a distraction burglary occurred at a property on Forest View, Overseal.

A Male in a red boilersuit purporting to be a virgin media broadband engineer has talked his way into a vulnerable persons address and stolen a wallet containing £135. It is believed he has been in the area for a few days knocking on doors.

If you saw anything suspicious, have any information that may help or have CCTV of anyone matching the description please contact the police on 101 or report online via the police website, quoting occurrence 26000331012.
