Appeal to identify man in CCTV following burglary |
||
|
Officers investigating a burglary have released pictures of a man we would like to speak with in connection with the incident. The incident happened when a suspect gained access to a home in Regent Street, Church Gresley between 1.43am and 2.12am on Monday 20 April and stole a set of car keys. They then drove off with the owner’s Blue MBW 4 Series from the driveway. The stolen vehicle was then stored in a disused garage in Edward Street. Officers were alerted to this and attended to recover the vehicle. After the vehicle had been taken away, CCTV captured a man visiting the garage who is then seen to lift up the garage door, saw the car was no longer there and ran away from the scene towards in the direction of Goseley Avenue. The man was spotted in the area on Monday 20 April at about 12.22pm. Officers have now released pictures of the man who was seen in the area and we are appealing for anyone who knows who he is to please contact us. We appreciate the man’s face is partially or fully covered in the images but we are hoping someone may be able to recognise him from his clothing or appearance.
