QUADS AND OFF-ROAD MOTORBIKES |
||
|
Hi everyone, Hope you all are keeping cool and hydrated. I am sending you all a polite reminder regarding UK law when riding around on dirt-bikes/quad bikes and other motorised off road motorbikes. Children's Quad bikes CANNOT be ridden on public roads, public pavements, or public parks and foot paths. These quads are classed as motorised vehicles that ONLY can be ridden on private land with the landowners permission. Kids quads are not illegal but they are heavily restricted where they can be ridden. If you purchase a quad, the vehicle must be registered with the DVLA and also taxed with valid insurance. OFF-ROAD motorbikes including dirt-bikes and mini-motorbikes, CANNOT be ridden also on public land, public roads, pavements, footpaths. Valid tax and insurance are needed and to register the vehicle with DVLA. Section 59 seizure under the Police Reform Act 2002, immediately will seize and potentially crush vehicles used anti-socially. Riding motorised vehicles illegally can lead to heavy fines, vehicle impounding fees and penalty points on your driving licence. Thank you for your attention ☺️
