Hello residents of Clowne, Barlborough and Whitwell. Here is your monthly round up for July 2026: We started the month strongly, as on the 1st of July SGT Molloy and one of our colleagues from Dronfield Safer Neighbourhoods PC Worrall seized an Audi that was driving anti-socially and had made off from police the day prior. Sending a message to those who drive recklessly and dangerously. Throughout the month, PCSO Baxter completed 5 high visibility foot patrols in Clowne and Barlborough, covering local parks, hot spot areas and shops which all have a big role in serving the community. At the end of the year, we had a lovely celebration with some of the students at Whitwell primary school. Over the past year, we have spent an hour together every Friday, learning about the role of the police and how we can all help make our communities safer. The children explored important topics including knife crime, county lines and anti-social behaviour, asking thoughtful questions and showing great enthusiasm throughout. As a reward for all their hard work and commitment, the children also enjoyed some fun and interactive sessions with some of our specialist teams. They had the opportunity to meet our Dog Section, Firearms Officers and Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) team, giving them a fascinating insight into the many different roles within Derbyshire Police. We will continue to give this kind of service to the lovely people of our communities. We are expecting to have a busy summer ahead and will continue to work hard to keep our communities safe and a welcoming place.
