Resident #Charged I 🚨
Following a lengthily investigation by the Dronfield Safer Neighbourhood team led by PC Cremin, a male was arrested in Sheffield by the Force Proactive Team.
Martin Hunter, 36 of Sheffield Road, Sheffield was charged with 9 different counts of Shop Theft and was remanded in custody overnight. He appeared the following day at South Derbyshire Magistrates Court and was found guilty of all 9 offences. He received a custodial sentence for these thefts of 11 months.
Hunter was also previously subject to a 12 month suspended sentence which was imposed by South Yorkshire Magistrates Court on the 21st January 2026. This sentence was activated due to his further offending.
He was sentenced in total to 1 Year, 10 Months and 29 Days.
PC Cremin also applied to have Hunter be subject to a Criminal Behaviour Order which was granted by the court at the same time.
