COMMUNITY PATROLS IN THE HEART OF MERCIA

A unique community patrol and discussion brought together neighbourhood policing and a senior Church of England representative last week.

On Friday 18 September, Officer Bob from Mercia Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) joined Rev Adam Watkinson, Chaplain to the Bishop of Derby, for a discussion and short patrol in the village of Repton.

Adam spent time discovering more about the realities of neighbourhood policing, including some of the community issues officers encounter, from anti-social behaviour to supporting vulnerable residents.

A huge thank you to Rev Adam for attending the session - it was much appreciated.
