Glossop SNT - Community Speed Watch Event
Four volunteers from the Hadfield Community Speed Watch Team completed an event on Woolleybridge Rd, Hadfield yesterday afternoon, Thursday 1st October
The event was held there between 2.45 pm and 3.45 pm - with the speed limit being 30 mph on this road.
Yesterday a total 391 vehicles went by the team during the event and 16 of those vehicles were recorded as speeding above 35 Mph. with the highest being recorded at 45 mph.
Speeding has been identified by the community in Hadfield as one of their Policing Priorites. By allowing the community to speak out by (them) using/completing our Community Voice Surveys online, includng encouraging the community to engage with safer neighbourhood team members, when they are out and about on patrol, or at local engagement events etc. ‘We'll ask - you say and we do’.
Our Community Voice Surveys help the Police to find out and identify what the issues are that affect our local communities and also help to identify more ways that we can support them - You can fill it out online here, www.derbyshirealert.co.uk
Glossop SNT would like to thank the 4 volunteers who gave up their free time - to try and make our roads safer and to help reduce speeding in your local communitiy.
