On behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary and everyone across our local community, we'd like to wish Neil "The Bean Man" a very happy 70th birthday this weekend.
Neil tirelessly stands in our local villages collecting food and essential items for vulnerable, elderly and hungry people.
Whatever the weather, he is there with a smile, never complaining and always putting others first. His kindness, dedication and generosity bring joy to everyone he meets.
To celebrate Neil's outstanding community contributions, your local Safer Neighbourhood Team officer caught up with him - and the pair enjoyed a bit of birthday fun by swapping uniforms to raise awareness of the fantastic work food banks do in our community.
Neil is a true community hero who represents the very best of charitable service in our villages. Happy 70th birthday, Neil, and thank you for everything you do!
