A man has been charged with drugs offences and having a knife in public.

Tarique Hayden (18) of Calvert Street, Derby, has been charged with possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply, acquiring criminal property and possessing a knife in public.

He appeared before Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was remanded into custody.

Officers from the Proactive Unit and County Lines Disruption Team arrested him after they saw what they believed to be a drug deal taking place in the city yesterday.
