Alert message sent 14/11/2019 14:52:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

One of our officers from the Abbey Safer Neighbourhood Team is appealing for information after a woman was assaulted by a dog-walker.

The incident happened earlier this week at about 2pm, Monday, 11 November on Stockbrook Rec, Stockbrook Street, Derby.

The 28-year-old victim was walking on the park with her friend when she was approached and knocked-over by what she described as two bulldog type dogs, that were off their leads.

Whilst her friend tried to get these dogs away it is alleged that the victim was approached by the woman walking the dogs and punched in the face.

The incident is being investigated by PC Shazia Anwar, from the team, who said: “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or perhaps knows who the woman walking the two dogs is.

“She is described as being a tall blond-haired woman, wearing black clothing and of course walking two bulldog-type dogs.”

If you have any information please contact Shazia by using any of the following non-emergency contact methods, quoting reference number 19*604318:
