New Police Officer in charge of Safer Neighbourhood policing in Chaddesden Spondon and Oakwood

The Safer Neighbourhood team covering the areas of Chaddesden (incl Derwent), Spondon and Oakwood has a new Sergeant in-charge.

Rachel Fowkes has recently joined Derbyshire police from Leicestershire and has started her career with us with the team working from Roe Farm Police Office.

Rachel has been a police officer for 23 years in a variety of roles which has included a general duties officer, beat officer and working on major incidents. She also worked in various roles at East Midlands Airport and was promoted to Sergeant in January 2018.
                                                                                               
About her new role with us at Derbyshire police Rachel, says: “I am enjoying the new challenge of a different force, learning all the new acronyms that the police love.

“I am looking forward to meeting community members, working with partner agencies to address the local priorities, issues and leading an established, hard-working neighbourhood team with the same high standards that I set myself.”
