Alert message sent 11/12/2019 14:59:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

We are increasing patrols after two robberies in one evening.

At around 9.30pm on Tuesday 10 December, a 22-year-old man was walking along a footpath off Station Approach, Derby, near David Lloyd gym, when a group of teenagers came up to him.

They threatened him, punched him and took his phone, wallet and keys.

A 17-year-old boy was robbed earlier that evening in the same area. He was approached by a group of youths at about 6pm. They snatched his phone and took his wallet from his bag.

We are investigating whether the two crimes are linked and are increasing patrols in this area.

One victim has described the group as being aged 16-18, Asian, and wearing tracksuits.
