Witness appeal following disturbance in Buxton

We are appealing for witnesses to a disturbance in Fairfield, Buxton, where a man was allegedly seen with a knife.

Officers were called to an incident involving a group fighting on Fairfield Road, near to Mellor and Smith Funeral Directors, at around 12.30pm on Saturday 25 January.

An 18 year old man and a 16 year old boy were arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon at the scene and have been bailed pending further inquiries.

No one has reported any injuries as a result of the incident.

We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard the disturbance, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident.
