Section 34 around Abbey Street

Alert message sent 08/10/2021 16:19:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

You told us there have been issues with anti social behaviour and drinking around Abbey Street recently.
In response to this we had a section 34 dispersal order granted. This is a power under The Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, which allows PCs and PCSO's to issue an order banning someone from an area for 24 hours.
A number of these were given out last week, all were adhered to, and our calls for service and the amount of ASB in the area was reduced.
We will continue liaising with local businesses in regards to any future issues, and will be carrying out our visible patrols, so do speak to us with any issues etc.
