Appeal after boy assaulted by youths in Glossop

Officers are investigating an incident in which a 13-year-old boy was assaulted by a group of youths in Norfolk Street.

The incident happened at around 4.30pm on Tuesday 19 October near to a B&M Bargains store.

The boy was attacked by five teenage boys after a fight had broken out between two members of the group.

He was punched in the face and had his head stamped on during the assault, resulting in bruising and a black eye.

It is understood that several children recorded the assault on their phones and that these have been circulating on social media.
