Knock door........ Done

Alert message sent 01/11/2021 18:12:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

***Knock a door…….DONE ***

We are aware of incidents over the last week involving groups of teenagers kicking and banging on doors and running off.
We are also aware this is happening in other areas and the incidents being filmed and uploaded to Social media platforms.
Not only is kicking doors very worrying and scary for those inside the property, especially our more elderly or vulnerable residents, it can lead to significant damage being caused to the door/frame.

PARENTS-

Please help us to help the community by-

Are they aware of the issues mentioned?

Have they seen anything online for the local areas?

Look at your child’s social media platforms, what content is being uploaded/followed/liked etc?

Ask your child how they think it would affect any of their elderly relatives and how it would make them feel knowing that it has happened to them?

Ask them to tell a teacher/you or us if they are aware of anyone taking part in these incidents.

We are patrolling and will be engaging with people that we see out, we will be explaining the issues raised and the consequences this type of behaviour may fetch back to their own door when we visit.
