Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

A man has been charged in connection with alleged fraud offences in Derby.
Officers have been investigating allegations that a man had visited elderly people in the city, charging money for house repairs that were not carried out.

George Brailsford (35), of Cathedral Road, Derby has been charged with fraud, burglary and attempted burglary.

He is due to appear at Derby Crown Court tomorrow (Friday, 13 December).
In early November, we issued an appeal and a CCTV image in relation to an alleged fraud in Littleover where an elderly man had reportedly been conned out of cash.

We received a large number of messages and calls from the public following this appeal and we would like to thank everyone who got in touch.
