Third arrest made as part of investigation into alleged county line drug operation

Alert message sent 28/01/2020 15:47:00

Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Constabulary

Officers working to dismantle an alleged county lines drug operation have made a third arrest.

Earlier this month, we told you that we had arrested two teenaged boys from Manchester at a flat in Abbey Street, Derby.

We had received information that the flat, where a vulnerable woman lived, was allegedly being targeted by people who used it as a base for drug dealing, also known as ‘cuckooing.’

On the morning of Tuesday 14 January, officers from the Pro-Active Unit in the city visited the flat. The two boys, aged 16 and 17, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

As part of the operation, we have now arrested and charged Kayvon Flemmings (18) of Eastglade Road, Nottingham, with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine between August 2019 and January 2020 and possessing criminal property.

He has been remanded into prison custody and is due to appear at Derby Crown Court on Monday 17 February.
