Man arrested for drugs offences in Swadlincote

A man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with the intent to supply.

Officers from the Proactive Unit visited a house in Swadlincote Road, Swadlincote on Wednesday, 25 September after receiving intelligence that drugs were being dealt from the property.

They arrested a 19-year-old London man on suspicion of possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply after they found him in possession of several wraps which officers believe contained the drug.

He has been released under investigation while the contents of the wraps are tested and the investigation continues.
