Boulton Moor assault

Officers investigating a report of an assault on a teenage boy in Alvaston are appealing for witnesses.

The incident happened between 10pm and 10.30pm on Monday 11 May, on a canal path near to Hippo Wood park in Boulton Moor.

The teenager was approached by two youths, who had their faces covered, and was assaulted.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged, his injuries are not understood to be serious.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and noticed anything suspicious, or who has private CCTV installed nearby should contact Detective Staff Investigator Umer Iqbal quoting reference number 2*239247.
